What is Reiki
A Japanese word representing Universal Life Energy - the energy which is all around us.
Reiki, when activated and applied for purposes of healing, addresses body, mind and spirit. It accelerates the body's ability to heal physical ailments and open the mind and spirit to the causes of disease and pain, the necessity for taking responsibility for one's life, and the joys of balanced wellness.
What to expect
Reiki is a form of therapeutic touch, when healing energy flows through the therapist's hands into the client, who remains fully clothed throughout. Reiki energy flows where it is needed, leaving the client feeling relaxed, easing anxieties and reducing stress levels.
Reiki helps to rebalance our own internal energies, and works holistically, affecting all levels - spiritual, mental, emotional and physical.
Reactions to Reiki vary from person to person - sometimes warmth, sometimes a cooling sensation, or even tingling / pins & needles can be experienced. Most people find Reiki to be very soothing and comforting.
